Wood Floors

Wood Floors

Wooden flooring still appears to be at the top of all flooring materials. The material is very easy to work with, pleasing to the eye, nice to touch, versatile, color diverse, and mainly, very elegant. It is no coincidence wood has been used from the beginning of time up to today.

Wood also offers some other advantages related to the body. Because of its elasticity, it protects to some extent against impact to our limbs, prevents fatigue of the ligaments and muscles and is very pleasant to walk on. Last, but not least, wood is excellent thermal insulation.

When choosing flooring, it is important to decide which type is right for you. There are multilayer wooden floors, massive planks treated mainly with wax oils, or parquets and parquet blocks.

If you decide to go with a wood floor, you should be aware of one thing. Wood is quite sensitive to temperature changes. Therefore, the combination with in-floor heating is not right for every type of wood.

Birch, beech, and to some extent, even maple, are not suitable for in-floor heating. When it comes to moisture, the ideal value for wood floors is approximately 45–60%. The temperature should be somewhere between 15 and 24° Celsius.
